Winner of $60,000 MBA scholarship announced
Chapman University’s Argyros School of Business and Economics announced the winner of its “Tomorrow’s Leaders” Flex MBA Scholarship Program at a Friday reception, awarding Elise Drakes the Flex MBA scholarship valued at $60,000.
Drakes was one of seven finalists selected who submitted essays describing how they would use their MBA to positively impact the Orange County business community.
A project coordinator at TAYLOR & Associates Architects with extensive experience in the design of healthcare facilities, Drakes said she was eager to meet the program’s goal of developing the local business community.
“I really am so honored and thankful and grateful for this. I love Chapman and I love Orange County, and the longer I stay in Orange County the more completely dedicated I am to it and its community. This MBA program that I will now be part of — it will go back to our community. I promise,” Drakes said.
The “Tomorrow’s Leaders” scholarship contest was designed to tap the best and brightest individuals in Orange County and give them the opportunity through higher education to make a significant impact on the local business community. The program is offered in partnership with OC Metro.
