Bloomberg report puts three Chapman business programs in top ranks

May 19, 2011

Chapman University’s Argyros School of Business and Economics earned three top 10 rankings in business specialty categories in the recent 2011 Bloomberg Businessweek annual ranking of the “Best Undergraduate Business Programs by Specialty.”

The results for Chapman included a fourth-place ranking in the newly added category of international business, a fifth-place ranking in marketing management and a sixth-place ranking in entrepreneurship. The specialty rankings are calculated using survey data.

“At Chapman,” the magazine says, “students have the option of traveling abroad on various internships and study tours offered through the business school’s Schmid Center for International Business.  Moreover, as part of the university’s general education program, each student must take 12 credit hours in what is called the ‘global citizen’ cluster.  This includes a foreign language course, as well as global study courses such as International Marketing and the Multi-Cultural Organization.”

I would love to see Chapman University’s Argyros School of Business and Economics get into the top 10 ranking for Ethics instead of placing at #76 😦

Interesting how we beat or get near USC’s ranking in 8 of the categories, yet we still aren’t ranked overall . . .
