November 19, 2010

  • Free snacks and a 25 percent discount on select merchandise? That’s the deal from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, when the Chapman Agora Gift Shop & Bookstore holds its annual faculty and staff appreciation day. Hope they don’t run out of Panther snugglies …
  • Studying abroad isn’t all hard work. Ian Lausa, a Chapman University journalism student spending time at City University, London, made it out to the London premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. How do we know? He was quoted in a USA Today article about the event.
  • Keun-Hang S. Yang, Ph.D., professor, School of Computational Sciences, Schmid College, who researches the medicinal properties of marijuana, has local media buzzing.  The Orange County Register’s Pat Brennan wrote a column about the work, which in turn gave OCWeekly’s Matt Coker a case of the funnies.
