Alumni networking paired with dessert adds up to sweet deal

October 5, 2010

An evening of dessert and networking for young alumni and students nearing graduation will be held Oct. 12 in the lobby of Argyros Forum.

The Chapman Alumni Association has planned the “From College to Career with Alumni” evening so that early bird attendees can arrive at 6:45 p.m. for break-out sessions with featured alumni and then enjoy a 7:50 p.m. dessert reception and mingle with the late birds, for whom the break-out sessions will repeat at 8:45 p.m.

Featured presenters will be  Timothy Crow ’00, Assistant Vice President Merrill Lynch, Penni McRoberts ’71, ’73, Major Gifts Manager, St. Joseph Hospital Foundation,  Jeff Cole ’01, Executive Producer Jeff Cole Productions, and Mike Short ’79, of Rancho Santiago College and Orange High school and founder of Orange Community Master Chorale. Several of Short’s choirs have also appeared in feature-length films.

Leading the networking during the dessert portion of the evening will be Andrea Knies, assistant director, MBA Career Services, Argyros School of Business and Economics.

The event is free, but registration is required. For details visit the event website.
