October 1, 2010

A screening of the film adaptation of the Raymond Carver short story, After the Denim, and a discussion with the author’s biographer, will be held at 7 p.m., Oct. 8, in Folino Theatre.

Starring Tom Bower (Crazy Heart, Nixon) and Karen Landry (Peaceful Warrior), the film is about James and Edith Packer who go to their regular Friday night Bingo game and learn something about youth and the nature of life itself.  It will be followed by a Q&A session with the directors, Gregory D. Goyins (MFA, ’13), Scott Rosenfelt (Home Alone, Teen Wolf, Smoke Signals) and executive producer Linda Guarducci, along with the cast and crew of the film. Award-winning biographer of Raymond Carver, Carol Sklenicka, will also be in attendance to discuss the author’s work.
