Chapman Quoted

August 31, 2010

This week we introduce “Chapman Quoted,” a quick list of just some of the places Chapman’s authoritative experts have been heard and seen recently in the national mainstream media, with links to the original coverage.

Anuradha Prakash, Ph.D., professor and program director, food science, was quoted in the Los Angeles Times’ Food section last week for a story about the nutritional value of fruit leathers and similar processed snacks. Read the story online and get ready to pack an old-fashioned apple in the lunch bag.

Esmael Adibi, Ph.D., professor, George L. Argyros School of Business and Economics, reminded readers of The Orange County Register that statistics can be deceptive in an article about state dept versus state gross domestic product.

John Eastman, professor and former dean of the School of Law, was tapped by National Public Radio to comment on the Proposition 8 debate. The story can be heard at NPR’s archives.

Katherine Darmer, law professor, School of Law, spoke to jubilant crowds at a gathering of the Orange County Equality Coalition. See the coverage in the Orange County Register.
