Free film night, compliments of Alumni Association

August 27, 2010

Grab a chair and blanket and mark your calendar for Wed., Sept. 1, when the Chapman Alumni Association hosts an outdoor film night showcasing student works from Dodge College of Film and Media Arts.

The “Chapman Film Fête” will be held from 7:30 to 10 p.m. in Davis Quad, within the residential housing area. Eight films will be featured, most of which are thesis projects created by seniors or graduate students, including one that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and several others that have been invited to show at film festivals across the country.

Average running time for the films is 18 minutes – and one is a commercial – so it will be an evening full of variety.

Films scheduled for screening include: Make Believer, by Tara Hernandez ’10; La Nina del Desierto, by Malachi Rempen ’09; The Last Page, by Kevin Acevedo ’07; Komforte the Candy Bar by Kellen Moore ’11; Chiles, by Tyrone Huff ’07; Hop to It by Matt Pollard ’10 & Michael Cusic ’10; Negotiations by Ethan Cushing ’07; and Fetch by David May ’05.

The Film Fête will is hosted with support from Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, Chapman Residence Life and Chapman Radio.

See you there!
