Chapman once again ranked in Fiske Guides

June 29, 2010

Chapman University has again been selected for inclusion in the updated edition of the prestigious Fiske Guide to Colleges.  Hailed by USA Today as “the best college guide you can buy,” the revised and updated 2011 edition of the guide by Edward B. Fiske features more than 300 of the country’s “best and most interesting colleges and universities,” selected from the more than 2,200 four-year universities in the U.S.

Universities are ranked on a broad range of subjects, including student body, academics, social life, and financial aid.   The Fiske Guide to Colleges 2011 is known for its independence; it accepts no consulting, advertising, or other fees from colleges and has no outside relationship with colleges working on its behalf.   The guide’s only stated mission is “to help future students select the best colleges to reach their own goals.”  Fiske, who served for 17 years as the education editor of the New York Times, has also written The Fiske Guide to Nailing the SAT, What to Do When for College and The Fiske Guide to Getting Into the Right College.
